Chile’s land-based casinos brought in CLP47.5bn (£39.7m) in gross gaming revenue in February, down 1.9 per cent year-on-year.
Tax collections for the casinos reached CLP17bn (£14.2m), down by 1.8 per cent from last February, according to the regulator, the SCJ.
Month-on-month, gross gaming revenue in Chile’s land-based sector rose slightly from CLP47.3bn (£39.5m) in January.
Of the total tax, CLP7.3bn (£6.1m) went to local communes and regional governments, while CLP7bn (£5.9m) went on VAT on gaming.
A further CLP2.7bn (£2.3m) was paid in ticket tax.
