In Japan, the Nagasaki Prefectural Government has revealed that five IR operator hopefuls have participated in its RFC process.
The names of three of the companies have been released – Oshidori International, Casinos Austria and Current Corporation. As for the other two, the officials have apparently been unable to determine if these firms want their names made public or not.
Other companies that have expressed interest in the recent past include Agora Hospitality Group and NagaCorp, but it is not known if they are still pursuing the Sasebo location.
The participating operators are expected to submit their concepts by January 10, including summaries of their proposed facilities, business plan and countermeasures against gambling addiction.
Individual interviews are then scheduled to continue until February 21 and the prefecture will release a report in March.
Nagasaki aims to select its IR consortium partner around autumn of next year.
