Peninsula Pacific won’t get to move its dormant Diamond Jack’s Casino licence in Bossier City to Slidell in suburban New Orleans, Louisiana.

St Tammany Parish voters rejected Peninsula’s proposed Camellia Bay Resort by 63 to 37 per cent in Saturday’s referendum.

Their decision leaves open the question of what happens to the Diamond Jack’s licence.

Full House Resorts CEO Dan Lee some months ago suggested that it be put up for bid, saying he might be interested in building a casino to in Lake Charles, where he built L’Auberge when he was CEO of Pinnacle Entertainment.
