FireKeepers to host grand opening of new hotel today with special entertainment

FireKeepers Casino Hotel is hosting a grand opening today of its new hotel expansion, with plenty of action on site to celebrate. The event is free to attend and the ribbon cutting will take place at 5 pm followed by an exciting tight rope walk by Nik Wallenda, a renowned daredevil from the Great Wallendas family. This exciting spectacle will take place at 5:45 pm. Fans that can’t take part on-site can tune in to the YoutTube channel and Facebook page of the site to watch the amazing walk.

Celebrating in Style

The new 203-guest room hotel expansion is going to get started with a bang, as the tight rope walk is going to be one of the most unique ways to open a new property. Nik will be almost 200 feet above the ground as he walks over 400 feet along the tightrope!

FireKeepers CEO Kathy George commented that the event is going to be exciting, and the casino does not want anyone missing out. They are happy to welcome Nik Wallenda and can think of no better way to celebrate the opening than with an aerial event between the two towers.

The event is set to be super exciting, a Nik is a Guinness World Record Holder with 11 titles. He is considered the King of the High Wire and is sure to do an amazing job walking between the FireKeepers towers.

Details of the Project

The new hotel at the FireKeepers is eight stories in size and was designed by Connecticut’s JCJ Architecture. Clark Construction Company was in charge of the construction process. To stay in line with the existing standards of excellence for FireKeepers, the current hotel has a AAA Four Diamond designation.

The first level of the space is 39,000 square feet in size and has a new lobby bar along with a welcoming front desk. Guests can enjoy drinks and food items from Gapi Coffee and Sweets. The signature restaurant of FireKeepers, Nibi, will be situated in a new location within the tower and accommodate 125 guests.

The space also includes expanded wine storage and a private dining area for as many as 20 guests. Business meetings or parties can easily be hosted in this restaurant space.

For gamblers, the casino has a new High Limit Gaming section for both slots and table games. For select Red Hot Rewards Club members, there is a new bar and VIP lounge. FireKeepers has been working hard to bring exclusive and quality areas for its guests as part of the renovations process.
