US operator and owner of the Kentucky Derby horse race, Churchill Downs, has closed on the sale of 115.7 acres of excess land near its Calder Casino for $291m.


The purchaser is Link Logistics, a real estate assets company owned by Blackstone. Churchill still owns 54 acres on which the Calder Casino sits in the US state of Florida.
