Bidding is open in Portugal for two land-based casinos.

The country’s gaming regulator has started the process of public tendering for exclusive casino operations rights in Estoril and Figueira da Foz, the two legal land-based gambling regions.

The present licences will expire at the end of this year after some extensions that resulted from the pandemic impact. Currently the Casino Figueira is operated by timber company Amorim and Casino Estoril (pictured) is run by STDM, the Macau operator.
