Ho family gets Portuguese licences

Home » Ho family gets Portuguese licences

Stanley Ho’s legacy in Portugal remains intact, as the two casinos in the Ho family’s control have beaten off a challenge from a rival.

The licences for the Casino de Lisboa and the Casino do Estoril were up for renewal at the end of this year, with a 15-year concession at stake.

Online casino operator Bidluck is reported to have submitted a tender for the concessions, but the Portuguese regulator has rejected the rival bid in favour of the one from the Ho family’s Estoril Sol SGPS, which has Pansy Ho as its chairman.
