Bidding for the six Macau casino licences opens today against a backdrop of a sharp decline in revenues caused by another Covid outbreak.
Bids can be lodged today, through to September 14, for the licences through an open auction. The licences will be for a set 10-year period.
Currently, the concessionaires are Wynn Macau, MGM China, Sands China, Galaxy Entertainment, SJM Holdings and Melco Resorts. Their current licences expire at the end of this year.
Applicants must provide a guarantee of not less than $1.24m, among other requirements.
