Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has announced a deadline extension to the period when bidders may get their paperwork in for the city’s proposed casino.
Now the bidders have to get their offers in by Friday, October 29, said Lightfoot, giving more opportunity for them to assess the potential of the licence.
“Extending the deadline for interested bidders will allow the city to collect as many robust, impactful and transformative proposals as possible,” said the mayor.
Chicago has 9.5m population, welcomes 60m domestic and 1.5m international visitors annually.
