One of the most northerly states of the US, Wisconsin, is the latest to expand into the sports betting business.

Its governor, Tony Evers, has signed a deal with the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians, says news channel KBJR-TV, quoted by CDC Gaming Reports.

The deal will permit sports and non-sports event betting at state locations operated by the tribe. The governor has already concluded deals with the Oneida Nation, the St Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin and the Forest Country Potawatomi.

Now a sports betting outlet can be established at the Seven Winds Casino in Hayward and make mobile betting available on land within the reservation.
