The US state of Michigan has a new sports betting outlet at the Bay Mills Resort and Casino, brought by DraftKings, the digital sports entertainment and gaming company.
Headquartered in Boston, DraftKings is the only US vertically-based integrated sports betting operator and its new partner, Bay Mills Resort and Casino in a native Indian location and the largest in Michigan.
DraftKings’ mobile sports book is already available in Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
It was found through a consumer study that over one-third of residents of Michigan had already placed a legal bet via mobile by traveling to another state or internationally. Another 55% had never made an online wager, which DraftKings said in a statement demonstrated potential.
