Australian operators Star Entertainment and Crown Resorts have both agreed with regulators in New South Wales to cease all international junket operations and to go cashless in their casinos.
The news came in a report from the Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority (ILGA) commenting on Crown’s progress towards regaining suitability for its Sydney licence.
The ILGA said all gaming activity will be cashless, with card technology linked to identity and a recognised financial institution.
