June sports betting revenue declined by double digits in the US state of Indiana and Washington DC, reports Fantini Research.


Despite the declines, overall sports betting revenue in June from the six states that have reported so far jumped 140.62 per cent to $98.838m, thanks to recent market launches in Maryland and New York.

Indiana’s sports betting revenue fell 38.09 per cent despite handle increasing 4.05 per cent to $256.307m.

Boyd’s Blue Chip, where Flutter’s FanDuel operates sports betting, led Indiana’s sports betting market share at 35.19 per cent in June.

DraftKings operating at Penn National’s Ameristar came in second with 22.29 per cent market share and Entain and MGM Resorts’ BetMGM operating at Boyd’s Belterra came in third at 20.07 per cent.

Revenue in Washington DC plummeted 54.34 per cent as handle dropped 29.50 per cent. Intralot’s Gambet led revenue market share at 44.43 per cent, followed by Caesars at 40.88 per cent.
