Maltese iGaming operator Tipico Company Limited has announced the signing of deals that are to see its mobile-friendly online sportsbook made available to aficionados in the American states of Iowa and Indiana.

Headquartered in the Valletta suburb of St Julian’s, the firm used an official Monday press release to detail that the new ten-year alliances with American casino operator Caesars Entertainment Incorporated were inked by its Tipico US subsidiary less than a month after its remote sportsbetting services were launched for punters in the western jurisdiction of Colorado.

Approaching appearances:

Tipico Company Limited explained that it has partnered with the Isle Casino Hotel Bettendorf property from Caesars Entertainment Incorporated in order to bring its sports wagering advance to aficionados in Iowa by the end of the year. The operator, which is majority-owned by American private equity giant CVC Capital Partners, pronounced that it subsequently intends to debut in Indiana via an analogous arrangement with the same company’s Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing and Casino venue although both premieres are to ultimately be subject to ‘state licensing and approvals’.

Significant stage:

Adrian Vella (pictured) serves as Chief Executive Officer for Tipico US and he used the press release to declare that his firm’s services may also be accessed by sportsbetting aficionados in New Jersey to offer ‘a seamless cross-state experience in a single app’ with the latest alliances all part of an effort to ‘expand nationwide.

Vella’s statement read…

We are excited to announce our multi-state market access partnerships with Caesars Entertainment Incorporated, which marks an important step as we continue to expand our footprint in the United States. We look forward to establishing our brand presence in the Midwest and introducing our highly scalable and proprietary multi-state sportsbetting experience to players in Indiana and Iowa.”

Legislative largess:

The Business Development and Strategy Vice-President for Tipico Company Limited, Stephen Krombolz, echoed these sentiments before divulging that Iowa passed legislation in May of 2019 so as to allow its 19 land-based casinos to premiere mobile-friendly sportsbetting in partnership with licensed providers. He went on to disclose that Indiana embarked on a similar course some four months later as American jurisdictions began taking advantage of the earlier invalidation of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA).
