The Dutch regulator has cracked down on a fresh wave of illegal bingo activities in Dordrecht in the Netherlands.

Kansspelautoriteit said an investigation found that an organisation known as the Dordtse Queens continued to advertise and organise illegal bingo sessions despite being reprimanded once before by the regulator.

The KSA said a team of inspectors found the location of a planned in-person bingo session organised by the Dordtse Queens and confiscated prizes including branded clothing, bags and shoes on offer to the approximately 200 players, including minors, present at the illegal event.

“The KSA sees that people are not always aware of the rules surrounding bingos and lotteries,” the regulator said.

“For bingo, participation in illegal bingo is in principle also punishable and minors are not allowed to participate in any case. Organizers of illegal lotteries and bingos also risk a high fine.”
