Resorts World Las Vegas, a $4.3bn resort developed by Malaysia-based Genting Berhad, opened its doors as the first Strip megaresort in more than a decade yesterday.

The most technologically advanced resort ever built opened to the public at 11pm after a VIP party featuring poolside entertainment and a fireworks display.

Resorts World Las Vegas features keyless hotel room entry via a Bluetooth connection from a smartphone and a cashless casino floor with gamblers using digital wallets to stake themselves at slot machines and table games.

It also has one of the largest video screens in the world at 100,000sq.ft on the south-facing facade of the resort’s west tower.
