Grand opening for Mohegan INSPIRE resort

Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort held a grand ceremony on Tuesday, March 5 to mark its official opening.

Themed as “The Joining of Two Cultures” between Mohegan culture and that of its host nation, South Korea, the event welcomed around 500 domestic and international key figures.

Located in the IBC-III area of Incheon International Airpot in Yeongjong Island, the resort combines various entertainment elements and hospitality services, including Korea’s first multi-purpose arena, the largest hotel ballroom in Korea, and the country’s largest exclusive casino for international visitors.

The resort held a soft opening last November and opened the casino in February.

“The grand opening of INSPIRE is a momentous occasion for Mohegan, making both a historic partnership for our tribe and elevating our global network of resorts to unprecedented heights,” said James Gessner Jr, chairman of the Mohegan Tribal Council.

“I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to the South Korean government for the opportunity to bring our vision to life in such a vibrant country and for the unyielding support of the Mohegan Tribe, as well as to the many individuals who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes.”
