Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort in Korea Got Five-Star Rating, Casino Abot to Be Opened

A casino at Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort in Incheon, South Korea, is finally about to open. After a series of obstacles and a long journey towards the opening of this foreigner-only casino, the five-star hotel rating is finally granted to the property.

Rigorous assessment to get five stars:

The resort had to undergo a serious examination and comply with the requirements of the Korea Tourism Association in order to get the rating. According to Mohegan, the rating has been issued after a “rigorous assessment” that complies with the Korean Hotel Rating System. Among the conditions for achieving the rating were the quality of the facility, hygiene, as well as service standards, which had to be on the highest level.

This rating is the highest the hotels in Korea can get. It is great news for the resort since it finally can open the casino and begin its operations. 

On November 30, 2023, the majority of amenities were opened to the public, but the resort waited to open the casino operations. This luxury resort consists of three hotel towers, MICE facilities, a vast choice of luxury restaurants, the whole entertainment street with a range of amenities, as well as a fantastic indoor water park. Most of the restaurants are already open, but it is planned to open even more of them.

All other facilities that are planned to be built at INSPIRE during the first phase of development are expected to be open in the middle of 2024, in a few months. Among the amenities that will be included in the resort are an outdoor experiential space, a food court with international food, a content exhibition hall, as well as an indoor playground for kids.

Casino to be open soon:

The exact opening date of the casino is still unknown. However, the Mohegan hopes it will be open and running just in time for the Chinese New Year, which will be celebrated in February.
