Gambling spend in Denmark increased by 4.6 per cent year-on-year in March to DKK627m (£73.3m).


Up from DKK599m (£69.1m) in March 2023, online casino generated the most revenue at DKK310m (£35.8m).

Betting followed behind with DKK183m (£21.1m) in revenue and gaming machines and land-based casinos brought in DKK106m (£12.2m) and DKK28m (£3.2m) respectively.

Online casino revenue jumped by 20.6 per cent year-on-year from last March’s DKK257m (£29.6m), while land-based casinos’ revenue – up from DKK25m (£2.9m) a year ago – grew by 12 per cent.

Gaming machines revenue also climbed year-on-year to DKK106m (£12.2m) from DKK103m (£11.9m) – up by 2.9 per cent.

However, betting revenue bucked the trend with a revenue decline of 14 per cent, down from DKK214m (£24.7m) to DKK183m (£21.1m).
