Robert Goldstein is the new chairman and CEO at Las Vegas Sands, with Patrick Dumont as president and COO.



The appointments follow the death of company founder Sheldon Adelson on January 11, aged 87, after a long illness.

Goldstein had stepped in to take an acting role leading the company on January 7. He is a long-serving company executive at Sands while Dumont was previously vice-president and CFO. Randy Hyzak has been announced as the new CFO.

Said Goldstein: “Sheldon Adelson’s leadership guided us to the top of our industry and his legacy lives on through the company’s 50,000 team members and the iconic properties he developed around the world.”

Goldstein joined Las Vegas Sands in 1995 and joined the board in January 2015. He had been president and COO since 2015. Until that time he had a number of executive roles, including president of global gaming operations and vice president and president and COO of The Venetian and The Palazzo in Las Vegas.

Dumont joined the company in 2010 and has been a director since April 2017. In addition to his role as vice-president and CFO, he was also senior vice-president finance and strategy and vice-president corporate strategy.

Hyzak joined in March 2016 and was senior vice-president and chief accounting officer.
