Gambling revenue in France’s 172 casinos hit €5.26bn in the first half of this year, but registered a decline of 11.2 per cent in online gambling revenue.


The GGR was up from €4.92bn, says the Autorité Nationale des Jeux, the gambling regulator. The biggest operator remains Francaise Des Jeux with €3.22bn, up 12.4 percent.

The revenue from lotteries was up by 16.0 per cent at €2.73bn. Sports betting dropped to €485m, a fall of 4.5 per cent. Online gambling was down 11.2 per cent from €1.21bn of last year to €1.07bn in the first half of this year.
