Dutch authority warns of licence delays

Home » Dutch authority warns of licence delays

The Dutch gambling authority, the Kanssepelautoriteit, has warned would-be applicants for licences for gaming in the Netherlands that the coronavirus may hinder the services and accessibility of the authority.

“For example, there may be delays in processing applications for a licence to operate slot machines or to organise a lottery. The same applies when applying for a trademark or a model authorisation for a slot machine,” it said.

“It may also take longer to process a change request, for example in the context of a current permit. The current situation can also cause ongoing legal proceedings to be delayed, for example because mail items are not received on time.”
