The Dutch gambling authority has instructed Holland Casino to remove advertising for its land-based casino work online.
The Kansspelautoriteit found in October last year that Holland Casino, which is state-owned in the country, was promoting its land-based operations on its internet platforms.
Such activity is against the KSA’s regulations, with an online licence holder not able to advertise on its website services and goods other than those for which the licence has been granted.
Holland Casino has a monopoly licence in the Netherlands for offering land-based casino games as well as an online licence.
Holland Casino had appealed the decision but has now accepted the ruling, leading to its subsequent publication by the regulator.
