Coronavirus hits VIP junkets

Home » Coronavirus hits VIP junkets

A Hong Kong-based VIP introductory service for casinos has ceased to co-operate with a junket operator.

Rich Goldman Holdings has severed its connections with Hoi Long Sociedade Unipessoal Limitada, a junket operator providing high rollers to eight tables at the Grand Lisboa in Macau.

The decision has been taken “in light of the challenging economic conditions and the recent outbreak of coronavirus.” Hoi Long decided not to seek an extension of its collaboration contract with Grand Lisboa that is due to expire in April.

Rich Goldman said it would now attempt to identify fresh junket operators. Failing that, it would continue to concentrate on its main business of money lending.
