A premises in Bolivia that offered illegal gaming has been ordered to pay BOB2.04m (£233,695).

The 15th Sentencing Court in the capital of Santa Cruz has issued the verdict following a lawsuit filed by Bolivia’s Gambling Oversight Authority in July last year.

After intervening in the illegal activity, the regulator seized 52 gaming machines.

“In compliance with Law No. 060 on Lottery and Gambling, the Authority will continue with regulatory, control, and oversight actions, actively participating in all processes that contribute to ensuring fair, legal, and transparent gambling for the Bolivian population,” the regulator said.
