Sports betting should be available in the same building as a casino or gaming hall, say four German operators in a legal action.
A court in the state of Baden-Wurttemberg will handle a legal challenge to a ban on operating sportsbooks inside buildings housing other gambling facilities.
The ban falls under the Interstate Treaty on Gambling. The operators’ case is that the rules did nothing to protect the interests of operators who had sports betting in their properties when the treaty came into force in July of last year.
