Accel Entertainment appoints Phelan as president, US Gaming

Accel Entertainment has moved chief revenue officer Mark Phelan into the newly created role of president, US Gaming.

Effective from last Friday, Phelan is responsible for setting and guiding Accel’s growth strategy including key expansion and diversification initiatives.

He will oversee Accel’s business development and the company’s M&A strategy, while also remaining an active member of the executive team and reporting to president and CEO Andy Rubenstein.

Phelan said he looks forward to “deepening my focus on strategic growth initiatives.”

“We will continue to grow the business, explore adjacent markets and further position ourselves as the country’s premier local gaming provider,” he added.

Rubenstein said: “This newly created position will enable Mark to focus even more of his time and energy on our go-forward strategy to expand our geographical presence and the breadth of our offerings.”
