A Cambodian hotel-casino fire left 19 dead and at least 70 with injuries on Thursday.


The Grand Diamond City Casino and Hotel in the Thai border town of Poipet said that on Wednesday/Thursday night “dozens” were trapped inside the venue and others had jumped from windows.

The fire had started at about midnight, drawing 11 fire engines to th4e scene and hundreds of rescue workers. Some of the fire engines were brought over the border from Aranyaprathet in Thailand to assist.
