Kentucky Derby horse race operator Churchill Downs, a casino company with 11,000 slots and 200 table games, plus a sports betting organisation, has opened its BetAmerica sports book in a new venue.



The Island Resort and Casino in Harris, Michigan, is the home of the new sports book for Michigan, beginning operations on Friday of last week. Now BetAmerica will launch its sports book and igaming platform throughout the state.

The installation features 14 self-service betting terminals and two betting windows offering wagers on sports including the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and golf. The venue is two hours north of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and features 15 large-screen televisions with the largest high definition video wall in the Upper Peninsula.
