Andrew Rhodes has been confirmed as the permanent CEO of the UK Gambling Commission, it was confirmed yesterday.
Rhodes has held the post on a temporary basis since last June when Neil McArthur resigned as chief executive.
Rhodes is the former chief register to the University of Swansea and senior officer for the Department for Work and Pensions, the Food Standards Agency and the DVLA, the motor driving licensing authority.
He has accepted the post on an 18-month contract.
