The Spring Championship of Online Poker or SCOOP is a popular tournament series hosted by PokerStars in the spring months. The online poker giant offers this series every year and as services expand in the United States, so has the ability to take part in the SCOOP. Currently, the brand is running the series in Michigan (MISCOOP) and New Jersey (NJSCOOP). The Main Events of both series have just finished up and were successful in attracting large fields in each state.

MISCOOP Main Event Details

In Michigan, it would take just under four hours for the final day of the Main Event to finish up. The tournament had a buy-in of $300 and was an NLHE format. The prize pool was guaranteed at $200,000. The total field for the event was 871 and 36 players came back on the final day to compete down to the winner.

It was only player “Stozypokes” who would dominate the field, eventually earning the win after taking down the majority of the final table. The online poker player took out the first player of the day and was on a roll from that point on.

When the series event got down to the final six, he ended up knocking out four of the remaining five to claim the title.

NJSCOOP Main Event Details

In the Garden State, it would take two days and more than 10 hours to complete the Main Event. A total of 391 players competed in Event #51, the Medium version of the NLHE 8-Max Main Event. When the final table started, it was Steven Madara who held the chip lead, but he would eventually lose out to online player TrashNinja00.

Once the heads-up round started between the two, TrashNinja00 would hold the lead and never look back. His chip stack continued to grow until the final hand eventually went down, securing him the win.
