There is a race between the Beau Rivage, the Bellagio and New York-New York to be first of the MGM casino properties to reopen.

MGM expects its Bellagio and New York-New York on the Las Vegas Strip to be first but has not yet announced a date, but its other properties may be first: the two in Mississippi, the Beau Rivage in Biloxi and the Gold Strike in Tunica. The latter locations may be open by Memorial Day, May 25.

The CEO at MGM, Bill Hornbuckle, told CDC Gaming Reports that the company is working through a reopening and safety plan for its 24-plus casinos in eight states that were closed in mid-March.
