The Malta Gaming Authority has shown its commitment to open dialogue in the gaming sector by hosting its first sports betting integrity conference.


Key figures and representatives from international bodies from the sports betting industry convened including those from UEFA, the International Olympic Committee, the International Betting Integrity Association, and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

The met with local Maltese representatives to share knowledge and discuss creating a gaming landscape that is “free from corruption and any form of unethical practices.”

MGA CEO Charles Mizzi opened the conference saying: “As the MGA, ensuring the integrity of sports betting is not merely a regulatory obligation; it is a cornerstone of our commitment to fostering a fair and sustainable gaming environment.”

The MGA said that gatherings such as this “serve as invaluable opportunities to pool resources and expertise, serving as catalysts for positive change.”
