Germany’s Lowen Entertainment, the AWP manufacturing company that has such a large slice of the German market, has made an immediate impact with its Novoline online platform.

The company, part of the Novomatic group, has only just entered the online field, establishing its online platform last month, but it has very quickly got off the ground.

Novoline is the online offer of German arcades and from that perspective is unique. “Lowen regards its Novoline product as a partnership model with the AWP operators,” said Simon Obermeier, head of press and public relations at the Bingen am Rhine-based company.

“The operators are already our business customers, so Novoline was very quickly developed. Our initial experience shows that the plan has worked very well and the operating industry has accepted it immediately.

“They like the fact that they do not have to pay any kind of deposit or even acquire a stake. So, nearly a month after the launch, 1,500 state-licensed gaming arcades have become Novoline partners,” he said.

Obermeier added: “It is all about profit sharing. It means that when a player registered for the online offer in a Novoline partner arcade and plays on Novoline, the operator profits directly from it.”
