Lottoland Deutschland, which was founded in Hamburg at the end of 2020 on the initiative of the Lottoland Group, has received a long-term German licence for the brokerage of state lotteries.

Following the granting of the licence, the company was added to the “white list” of the Joint Gambling Authority of the German federal states.

Magnus von Zitzewitz, managing director of Lottoland Deutschland, said: “We are delighted that our licence application has finally been approved by the Joint Gaming Authority of the German federal states after intensive examination by the federal states.”

According to the licensing authority, further licences for sports betting and virtual slot machines will also be granted soon.

With these licences, Lottoland Deutschland will distribute state or state-licensed lotteries in Germany online as a broker and also offer sports betting and virtual slot machines online as an operator.
