UK National Lottery operator Camelot has pledged its support for the Great Britain Oympics and Paralympics teams, with six months to go before the start of the games.



Team GB and Parlympics GB will benefit from the Camelot support for the Tokyo 2020 games, now less than six months away. The support will cover a range of Covid mitigation measures from hygiene technology to a testing programme.

The move makes Camelot an official partner of Paralympics GB and an official supporter of Team GB. Since National Lottery funding for elite sport began in 1996, over £2.8bn has been invested iin supporting British Olympic and Paralympic sport. The funding is distributed by UK Sport.

At Rio 2016 Team GB finished second in the medal table with 67 awards and Parlympics GB won 147 medals.
