Coral is launching a new Racing Club which will enable its customers to experience racehorse ownership.

The Coral Racing club will launch with four racehorses in training for the upcoming Jumps season.

All Coral customers can simply opt in to join for free and as Coral Racing Club members, they can enter ballots to receive the full ownership experience on the racecourse when the club’s horses run, with any prize money going to the lucky owners.

Coral Racing Club members can also win tickets to go to racing events during the year, such as the Coral-Eclipse and the Coral Scottish Grand National. Attendance will also include the Coral Racing Club Lounge experience, where members can mix with trainers and Coral ambassadors.

Simon Clare, PR director for Coral said today: “In launching The Coral Racing Club is the only free-to-join racehorse ownership experience in the UK, and our ambition is to make it the biggest and best Racing Club in existence, getting thousands of our customers closer to the action than ever before, and in doing so helping to broaden the appeal of the sport for the benefit of everyone in racing.

“For many years Coral has demonstrated a deep passion for, and commitment to, British racing through some of the longest-standing racing sponsorships in the sport, but this year we have significantly expanded our sponsorship portfolio to become the leading bookmaker sponsor in the UK.”

Clare added that the Racing Club could prove a “game changer” amid past accusations at bookmakers for “prioritising other products like football” ahead of horse racing.

Jockeys Jonjo O’Neill, Joe Tizzard, Rebecca Menzies and Scott Dixon are all training one horse apiece. A fifth horse is currently being sourced by O’Neill to complete the five-strong team.

The Club is launching with a unique naming competition for the unnamed four-year-old trained by Tizzard. The member who successfully names the horse will become the owner of the horse for the day when he first runs.
