US operator Churchill Downs, a specialist in historical horse racing machines, is to acquire the supplier of the slots, Exacta Systems.

Churchill, also owner of the iconic Kentucky Derby horse race, operates the unique machines all over its home state and in Virginia. It will buy Exacta for $250m.

Exacta is a 10-year-old manufacturer that specialises in HHRMs and support systems for Ellis Park, a course owned by Churchill, and for Colonial Downs in Virginia, plus its off-track betting parlours and casinos.
