In its results for the quarter ending March 31, Churchill Downs has reported a record net revenue of US$590.9m, a six per cent increase on the prior year quarter.


Net income was $80.4m, down 48 per cent on the prior year quarter, although Adjusted EBITDA also hit record levels at $242.5m, up 9 per cent on the prior year quarter.

The period also saw the announcement of The Rose Gaming Resort, scheduled to open in late September 2024 with 500 additional HRMs for a total of 1,650 HRMs and $460m total capital investment.

Also announced were development plans for Owensboro Racing & Gaming with a planned opening in Q1 2025, including 600 HRMs, a retail sportsbook, simulcast wagering and multiple food and beverage offerings.
