Venetian Las Vegas Celebrates 25th Anniversary, Announces $1.5 Billion Renovation Project

The renowned Venetian Resort Las Vegas opened 25 years ago, and since then it has become one of the most famous casino resorts in the world, boasting its distinctive Venetian canals and gondoliers. In honor of its milestone anniversary, the resort will embark on an unprecedented journey of renovation, investing a staggering $1.5 billion in a renovation project.

Ambitious renovations:

Following the recent debuts of HaSalon, Voltaire Belle de Nuit, and Sphere, the renovation initiative will encompass a comprehensive overhaul, spanning a redesign of the famous logo to the complete revitalization of all 4,000 suits within the hotel. 

The new, updated suites and rooms will be available from September 2024. Venetian found the inspiration for new rooms in the Venetian Carnival, envisioning joyful and warm interiors.

Not only will the rooms undergo a redesign – but the property will also introduce an array of new culinary options, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences.

According to the press release, Patrick Nichols, the President and CEO of the resort, said: “The Venetian Resort’s innovative spirit has had a massive impact on Las Vegas over the last 25 years and paved the way for our visionary $1.5 billion reinvestment today. This redevelopment marks more than just a surface-level renovation, it signifies a deep understanding of our guests and a profound reimagining of an iconic resort unlike any other in history. The beauty of this project lies within the balance of the beloved familiar and the never-before-seen.”

Once the property is renovated, the guests will get a chance to enjoy new gambling options as well. Among them will be The Palazzo High Limit Lounge, as well as the Yahoo Sportsbook powered by William Hill, and a new poker room expected to launch in the summer of 2024.

On top of that, a new loyalty program, Venetian Rewards, has already been launched and allows players to earn Rewards Points that can be redeemed for various gaming and non-gaming perks.

The Convention Center is also slated for a redesign, with the company allocating a substantial $188 million investment for this endeavor. The color palette will be changed, and new luxury lounges will be added, enriched with innovative technology that will strengthen the position of the Venetian as an ultimate industry leader. The works are scheduled to begin in the summer of 2024.

Venetian worked hard to incorporate new amenities into its vast offering. Among the newest additions is Food Rescue Alliance, a unique program facilitating the redistribution of surplus fresh food from various events to those in need. This initiative garnered recognition from the White House, underscoring its significance.

25th-anniversary celebration:

The 25th anniversary celebration will unfold across the entire weekend from May 3 to May 5. Visitors can expect to receive various gifts and enjoy many different dining options, including the taste of Italy at Sala 118, Bar Luca, and Prestige Club Lounge, various delicious treats at Black Tap, and many others. The offering includes signature cocktails and meals prepared for this occasion. 

Visitors can also look forward to the concert by Kylie Minogue on Friday, May 3. The company found a way to give back to the community through various acts of service that will be conducted in partnership with organizations such as The Just One Project, Three Square, Green Our Planet, U.S. Vets, HERO School, and Spread the Word, Nevada.
