Churchill Downs, the gaming operator and owner of the iconic Kentucky Derby horse race, has reported record second quarter results.
Net revenue was $582.5m compared with $515.1m in the same quarter of last year. Income was another record at $339.3m compared with $108.3m and adjusted EBITDA was also a record at $291.2m as opposed to $233.3m.
The company operates racing, online wagering and gaming entertainment. It has three venues with 3,050 historic racing machines in Kentucky, plus TwinSpires, an online wagering platform for horse racing in the US, and eight retail sportsbooks.
Additionally, it has 11,000 slots and VLTs plus 200 table games in operation.
