The 888poker Mystery Bounty Festival Main Event, costing £215 to enter and guaranteeing at least $300,000 will be won, is by far the largest tournament on the busy schedule. Approximately one dozen Day 1s take place before Day 2 on March 25, which seems like plenty of time to build a stack that challenges for the lead, but that final Day 1 will be on you quicker than you realize.
Only 57 players, from 426 starters, have punched their Day 2 tickets and now stand a chance of becoming the 888poker Mystery Bounty Main Event champion. First place will come with a bankroll-boosting payout, not to mention the mystery bounties that come into play from the start of Day 2.
Ten mystery bounty envelopes contain $1,500, with another ten awarding their recipient $3,000. While $9,620 is a significant score, it is over three times less than the largest mystery bounty the festival’s Main Event will award; let that sink in for a moment!
