Caesars Entertainment opened its Caesars Sportsbook at Red Mile with a dedicated event on Thursday.

Operating in partnership with Keeneland and Red Mile Gaming & Racing, the Kentucky facility opened in tandem with the go-live of legal sports betting in the state.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear placed the first bet at the sportsbook alongside Jonathan Rabinowitz, chairman of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission.

Caesars Sportsbook at Red Mile is open seven days a week, 10am to midnight, and features five betting windows, 14 self-service betting kiosks and simulcasting areas among other services.

Eric Hession, President of Caesars Digital, said: “Caesars Sportsbook at Red Mile brings a premier in-person sportsbook to an iconic Kentucky destination.

“We’re proud to partner with Keeneland and Red Mile to bring in-person sports wagering to life in a way that honours the important legacy they hold in the Bluegrass State.”
