April 2023 was unlike any other for Nevada casinos with statewide gross gaming revenue totalling over $1.15bn, the highest monthly casino win for any April in Nevada history.
April marked the 26th month on the run where GGR topped $1bn. Before the unprecedented run, Nevada’s longest 10-digit monthly gaming revenue streak was just eight months, which was set from October 2006 to May 2007.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board revealed this week that state casinos combined to win $1.159bn in April, a three per cent improvement from April 2022. Robust slot play of $837.9m, a 4.2 per cent year-over-year gain, fueled the higher revenue.
