The three casinos in Detroit, Michigan generated US$93.9m in aggregate monthly revenue from games and slots, and $500,221 from retail sports betting in January 2024.
MGM held 48 per cent of market shares, MotorCity held 30 per cent and Hollywood Casino at Greektown held 22 per cent.
Table game and slot revenue was 9.1 per cent down against January 2023, and also 15.7 per cent down against that of December 2023. For January 2024, the Detroit casinos paid $7.6m in gaming taxes to the state based on table game and slot revenue.
The three casinos reported $24.2m in total retail sports betting handle and total gross receipts of $520,988 for the month. Retail sports betting qualified adjusted gross receipts (QAGR) in January were up by $389,197 against last year. The casinos paid $58,073 in gaming taxes to the state based on sports betting revenue.
