Australian casino operator The Star Entertainment Group and Konami Gaming have extended and expanded their casino systems partnership.
Konami have provided The Star with its Synkros casino management system since 2008, but the new deal encompasses new technological solutions to further elevate the experience for The Star patrons.
These include: the introduction of a seamless cashless wagering system, mandatory card-based play, and enhanced identity management using SYNK Vision AI facial recognition technology.
“Our collaboration has yielded outstanding results over the years, and this extension will help us deliver significant advancements in our ongoing commitment to responsible gaming and harm minimisation,” said Robbie Cooke managing director and chief executive officer of The Star Entertainment Group.
The companies also explained that the new deal will “entail a deeper engagement with regulatory requirements”.
“Synkros will not only provide our core cashless gaming solution but also enable The Star in delivering world-class harm minimisation features. We have a long-standing technology partnership with Konami and this commitment further reinforces our shared vision of the casino of the future,” said Laurent Fresnel, The Star Group’s chief technology and innovation officer.
