Total operating revenues for Studio City fell to US$11.5m in 2022, down from $106.9m in 2021, while gross gaming revenue in Q4 2022 was down over half year-on-year.


The temporary casino closures in Macau in July, as well as heightened travel restrictions in Macau and mainland China due to coronavirus, accounted for the drop.

Operating loss over the year rose to $277.2m, up from $191.6m in 2021. Studio City generated negative adjusted EBITDA of $140.8m for 2022, changing from $56.5m in 2021.

As for Q4 2022, total operating revenue dropped to $4.2m from $28.4m in Q4 2021, while gross gaming revenue for the latest quarter was $40.9m, less than half of the Q4 2021 figure.

Operating loss for Q4 2022 was $70m, compared with the $45m posted in the same quarter in 2021.
