SIS to sponsor key Panama horseracing event

Sports Information Services has signed up to sponsor a key race at a horseracing event in Panama.

The company’s branding will be present at the $100,000 Copa Confraternidad del Caribe event on the Clásico Internacional del Caribe race day on December 10.

The race day, held at Hipódromo Presidente Remón in Panama City, Panama, is the annual Caribbean nations thoroughbred championship day.

The Grade 1 Copa Confraternidad del Caribe and the Clásico del Caribe are two of the region’s most popular races, with SIS already delivering race content from Panama and across the LatAm region including Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Uruguay.

Michele Fisher, vice president of SIS Content Services, said the return of the Clásico del Caribe day to Panama “promises to create an electric atmosphere” and said the SIS sponsorship will “enhance our commitment to global racing.”

COO at Hipódromo Presidente Remón Racecourse, Carlos Alberto de Oliveira Jr, said SIS’ support “extends our horse racing to over 50 countries” and “opens the door to future expansions.”
