Nate Simon has been appointed senior vice-president and chief technology offer at Churchill Downs, the Kentucky racing, online wagering and gaming operator.
Simon will head strategic technology and services at the company, replacing Ben Murr who was promoted to president of Churchill Downs’ TwinSpires and online gaming in January.
Simon has been 20 years in the industry, notably in the technology sector. He joined Churchill Downs in 2011 as vice-president of operations for its United Tote Division and was promoted to president of United Tote a year later. He ran a 200-member team across the US and Canada that was responsible for $20m in revenue.
