The January revenue in Pennsylvania from all forms of gaming and fantasy contests increased 18.15 per cent year-on-year to US$464m.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National made the most revenue in January in the US state, its $71.8m figure a 25.44 per cent uptick on the $57.2m posted in January 2022.
Valley Forge Casino Resort, the next-best performing casino, also showed an improvement in revenue. The $67.8m figure posted in the latest results is a 33.17 per cent increase on January 2022’s $50.9m.
Pennsylvania generated gross igaming revenue of $133m in January, a 22.91 per cent increase year-on-year, with Hollywood Casino at Penn National the highest-performing offering in this sector.
As for sports betting, total handle for January 2023 was $772m, translating to a 2.7 per cent drop year-on-year.
However, the taxable revenue from sports betting in January increased by 22.01 per cent year-on-year to $39.2m.
DraftKings made the most revenue in Pennyslvania for fantasy contests in January, with the operator’s figure at $1.5m for January.
